All Matt products are manufactured exclusively by certified suppliers who adhere to high standards of quality and safety, as well as strict reliability and procurement assurance requirements. Continuous monitoring and evaluation are carried out, including regular in-depth visits to production facilities to assess processes against established guidelines and to continuously seek innovative solutions for enhancing both nutritional value and ingredient quality. Before reaching the market, every product batch undergoes rigorous quality and safety checks to ensure full compliance with strict specifications.

Additionally, numerous periodic tests are conducted in certified, internationally recognized laboratories to verify the quality and safety of finished products.

Kosher Certification of Jerusalem

A logo designed for companies whose production methods and products have been inspected by an authorized third-party body and found to comply with EU regulations for organic farming. A certification body authorized by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food, and Forestry Policies, ensuring the quality and authenticity of organic products across the entire supply chain. Israel’s primary certification body, guaranteeing that products adhere to the strict dietary laws of the Jewish faith.

Organic

At Matt, “organic” means respecting the entire agricultural ecosystem and preserving the natural fertility of the land, without the use of synthetic
products or genetically modified organisms, while ensuring the responsible use of energy and resources.

Companies in the agri-food sector that wish to be part of the organic supply chain must comply with the certification requirements outlined in European Commission Regulation 834/2007.

The organic supply chain encompasses both the primary production of a product and its processing activities.

Regarding primary production, the regulation defines a production method that incorporates sustainable farming and breeding practices aimed at enhancing and preserving organic production systems. These methods exclude the use of synthetic chemical products while promoting environmental protection and rural conservation. The regulation also encourages the optimal use of renewable energy sources and the enhancement of territorial, environmental, and natural resources.

Key technical principles of organic agriculture:

  • emphasis on the physical and microbiological health of the soil and its improvement.
  • organic-based fertilization, supplemented when necessary by mineral inputs, preferably of natural origin.
  • phytosanitary protection focused on prevention, supplemented when necessary by treatments with authorized products in accordance with specific production standards and certification schemes.
  • weed control through cultivation techniques and mechanical interventions.
  • strict prohibition on the use of products and ingredients obtained from or derived from genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
  • limited use of veterinary medicines.
  • breeding systems that ensure species-specific welfare, respecting the natural needs of each animal species.
