Città della Speranza Foundation

“Research and treatment of oncological and pediatric diseases”

Since 1994, the Città della Speranza Foundation has been committed to improving treatment and care for children with onco-hematological diseases, as well as funding scientific research in the field of pediatrics. Thanks to the support of companies, associations, private citizens, and volunteers, the foundation has successfully established and continues to sustain:

  • The Pediatric Onco-Hematology Clinic in Padova, a national reference center for the diagnosis of leukemia, lymphoma, and sarcoma. This ensures that all children, whether residing in Italy or coming from abroad, receive a definitive diagnosis within 30 hours and access to the most advanced treatment protocols.

    • The Città della Speranza Pediatric Research Institute, the largest pediatric research center in Europe, focuses on various aspects of childhood diseases to maximize the chances of breakthrough discoveries. Key research areas include pediatric oncology, stem cell transplantation, gene therapy, regenerative medicine, nanomedicine, genetics and rare diseases, predictive medicine, immunology, and neuroimmunology.          The efforts of Città della Speranza have significantly contributed to improving recovery rates, increasing them from approximately 30% in 1994 to 85% today. Treatment protocols developed in its laboratories are now adopted in 51 countries worldwide.
